Speaking at a European Space Agency conference in Germany about preventing an asteroid impact on Earth, former Apollo astronaut, Rusty Schweickart, echoed the exact same advice Meier says was given to him by the Plejaren extraterrestrials, about using existing technologies to deflect the asteroids, “The question often arises in the general public: Can we in fact do something about this. And the answer is yes. We don’t even have to develop new technologies. Our existing space technology enables us to actually slightly change the orbit of an asteroid that we see headed for an impact 15 or 20 or 50 years ahead of us.”

The Ten Biggest American Cities That Are Running Out Of Water

It is unclear to me why people don't realize that the basis of our problems lie in human overpopulation.  The Earth is finite resource.  There is not an unlimited supply of anything.  Our most precious resource, water is disappearing.  The majority of the world population does not have enough clean water to drink. Many aquifers are depleted or very close to being depleted.  Much of the fresh water we do have is contaminated by toxins from eenvironmental accidents, toxins from landfills, and toxins in our waste water run-off.  If we continue our abusing the planet this way and population growth continues, the cost of water will one day rival the cost of oil.  This is global problem that will effect generations to come.
